Therapeutic Art Classes for Adults
My art classes are suitable for any ability – you don’t have to be good at art to do this class. The focus is on the ‘process’ rather than the end result, although you may surprise yourself of what you can achieve!
My mission is to inspire as many people as possible to take up art, and reap the benefits that creating art has for your mental health and wellbeing.
I can personally vouch from my own experience of suffering with anxiety and depression, how beneficial art can be in helping your mental health.
Creating art is a great way to relax. It provides a distraction, and gives your mind a chance to escape from your thoughts and troubles.

If you are a complete newbie to acrylic painting, or are just looking to improve, then my online classes may just be what you need!
My focus with all my classes is on the process and not the end result. The main thing is to enjoy yourself. I don't want you to be worrying about how its going to look a the end, as that will only put pressure on yourself, and hinder your creativity!
How it works
Before each class I will send you the reference image for the session and a written process with step by step photos for you to print out. A list of materials and what colours you will need will also be provided. Don't worry if you don't have the exact colours that I use, there is plenty of room for some artistic licence - in fact I encourage you to put your own stamp on the process if you want to!
During the class I will talk you through each step as you paint along with me.
At the end of the class we have a little show and tell session, where we all show our creations to the group.
