My name is Stephanie, and I am an artist living in rural Oxfordshire.

As a child I could always be found with my hands covered in paint. Through school I continued to experiment and develop my painting and drawing skills. From there I went to college to do a BTec National Diploma in General Art and Design. I went on to graduate from the University of Westminster in 1998 with a BA Hons Degree in Illustration.

As a young artist, I didn't have much confidence in my abilities. I was deeply affected by the constant criticism and scathing remarks about my work from a class tutor at University, and as a result I decided not to pursue a career in art after my degree.  I continued to paint and draw and completed the odd commission over the years.

My dream was always to become a fulltime artist, but life, and lack of confidence in my abilities always seemed to get in the way. Several years ago, I had a complete breakdown due to work related stress. It was at that point I decided to follow my heart, not my head, and finally pursue the career path I was meant to do.

My love for art has continued to grow over the last few years, not only for wanting to create it, but also to teach. I guess you could say I finally found my purpose.

Art has not only been my passion, but also my therapy, helping through my battles with anxiety and depression. When I realised the benefits that art was having on my own mental health and wellbeing, I decided I wanted to share my knowledge, and help other people so I started running my own Therapeutic Art Classes.

I now also do online classes. Head over to my Art Classes page to find out more!

I am available for Commissions and Pet Portraits - you can see examples of these in the Gallery and Pet Portraits pages. Artworks for sale are available to purchase from my Shop page.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested in art classes or would like me to do a painting or pet portrait for you.

I do hope you enjoy my artwork!
